Formerly GolfersLinkUp.com, a social networking and informational site just for golfers, golf2day.com offers a new program to provide an opportunity for you, as a golf course or golf resort, to promote and advertise your facility and to sell you dead/unsold inventory of tee times for no out-of-pocket costs to you.

Here's an example of how it works:

1. Your retail rate for a round in the summer is $59.

2. Your tee sheet is looking pretty empty in the afternoons for June, July, and August (leaving about 1,000 tee times unbooked, that can accommodate 4,000 players).

3. Put a deal on golf2day.com for $32 per round (a 46% savings) with restrictions. For example: play after 11:00 am only, Sunday through Thursday; coupon expires August 31, 2011. Tee Times based on availability.

4. golf2day posts the offer as agreed (let's say for a 3 day period) and customers purchase their deal through golf2day.com paying by credit card. They receive a coupon for this deal to use at your golf course with the restrictions and contact information printed on the coupon.

5. Purchasers of the deal can also (unless restrictions apply) buy more than one deal, refer the deal to friends, and sign up to receive future deal notifications.

6. When the deal expires, golf2day.com cuts you, the golf course, a check within 3 business days for 65% of the gross received from the deal. You have the money up front before anyone has even redeemed their coupon for the deal!

Turn $0 into $6718

In the previous example, let's say 323 people purchase the deal. Gross proceeds would be $10,336. Your course would get $6,718 before anyone has even made their tee time. $6718 in revenues for 323 people is better than $0 for 323 people who wouldn't have played your course otherwise.

The "Fringe Benefits"

The ancillary revenues from these 323 people over the course of 2.5 months could be considerable. From the pro shop (purchases of balls, gloves, etc) to the snack bar (beer, snacks, hotdogs, etc), the pay-offs continue long after the deal is over. It is a "win-win!" That could be several thousands of additional revenue dollars from hard goods and food & beverage income as well.

We recommend that you offer at least 30-60% off the published retail rate in order for it to be appealing and to maximize sales.
